Aviation South West was set up in 1999 to provide the many forms of flying training available for private and professional pilot alike. Its parent is the much respected Plymouth School of Flying which is a CAA Approved School that has been trading for over ten years.

In 2002 it moved to its present premises at Exeter Airport. At Exeter it offers flight training for the NPPL, PPL, IMC, Night, Multi and CPL licences and ratings, Flying Instructor courses, and operates a large shop of flying necessities including clothing, books and equipment. ASW also works with its professional partners to provide FAA training, JAA CPL and ATPL groundschool, instrument ratings and float plane training. Each partner was individually selected by us, is very well known to us and is visited frequently to ensure common standards and support. ASW staff are trained and equipped to provide all information on partner courses as if they were our own - indeed, you can even see and examine the text books for the groundschool before signing up.

We operate out of Exeter International Airport,which is fully equipped to the standards required for international scheduled flights. Our main base is at Exeter where we have an excellent club house and briefing rooms with free parking right by the terminal.
