Introduction. Although the night rating can be obtained as part of the JAA PPL, it is more usual (and fun!) to make it one of your first add-ons to your new PPL.
Course Content. The course itself consists of a minimum of 5 hours flying of which at least 3 must be dual, including at least one hour of dual cross country, and at least 5 solo take offs and full stop landings.
Aerodrome. Exeter Airport is ideal for night ratings - quiet, but with excellent opening hours. The night views of the city, channel and shipping are nothing short of spectacular.
